چکیده

Abstract Development of the hybridization between two different species Acacia mangium and auriculiformis in Indonesia started 2009 by establishing an open-pollinated orchard to produce natural hybrid seed Wonogiri District, Central Java Province. The design was alternate row A. with a spacing 5 × meters. produced putative seeds firstly 2013. Based on flowering synchronization species, from 38 sample trees were taken identify their character seedling morphology obtain hybrid. morphological characteristics observed leaf development patterns emergence true ( pinnate ) until pseudo phyllode emerged. then verified using Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) marker Characterized Amplified Region (SCAR) auriculiformis. result showed that presence 4- pattern as 100% pure opposite In comparison, + 40% final estimation production at first about 3.1% approximately based pattern.

Isolation and characterization of CCoAOMT in interspecific hybrid of Acacia auriculiformis x Acacia mangium--a key gene in lignin biosynthesis.

This study was directed at the understanding of the function of CCoAOMT isolated from Acacia auriculiformis x Acacia mangium. Full length cDNA of the Acacia hybrid CCoAOMT (AhCCoAOMT) was 1024-bp long, containing 750-bp coding regions, with one major open reading frame of 249 amino acids. On the other hand, full length genomic sequence of the CCoAOMT (AhgflCCoAOMT) was 2548 bp long, containing ...

Changes in litter, decomposition, nitrogen mineralization and microclimate in Acacia mangium and Acacia auriculiformis plantation in Mount Makiling, Philippines

The objectives of this study were to examine litter, decomposition, net mineralization and microclimate by two leguminous species planted for the restoration of degraded area. The total annual litter fall in A. mangium site was 11.44±0.59 (mean ± standard error) t ha -1 yr -1 and A. auriculiformis site was 8.72±0.57 t ha -1 yr -1 . Decomposition constant (k) of A. mangium and A. auriculiformis ...

Natural and induced polyploidy in Acacia dealbata Link. and Acacia mangium Willd.

Seeds were obtained from seven natural populations of Acacia dealbata, three natural populations of A. mangium and a seed orchard of A. mangium, representing the natural range of the two species. Polyploids were discovered in two of the seven populations of A. dealbata. The 2C DNA amount for diploid A. dealbata (2n = 2x = 26) was 1.74 pg, and for diploid A. mangium (2n = 2x = 26) was 1.30 pg. A...

Enhancement of membrane damage by saponins isolated from Acacia auriculiformis.

Acaciaside A and B, two acylated triterpenoid bisglycosides isolated from the funicles of Acacia auriculiformis, are known to have antihelmintic activity. Since the saponins contain a conjugated unsaturated system that is highly susceptible to peroxidation, we investigated the interaction of saponins and membrane using rat liver microsomes as our model. Microsomal membranes were incubated with ...

Vermicomposting of the leaf litter of acacia (Acacia auriculiformis): possible roles of reactor geometry, polyphenols, and lignin.

Vermicomposting of the pre-composted leaf litter of acacia (Acacia auriculiformis) was studied in reactors of identical volume but with surface area: height ratios varying from 4 to 250. In separate sets of experiments with these reactors, epigeic earthworm species Eudrilus eugeniae and anecic earthworm species Lampito mauritii were employed at densities of 75 and 150 adult animals per litre of...
